Contractual/ Service Agreements

One of the areas of collaboration between the private and public sectors in health services is in contractual arrangements as supported by the National Health Policy (2002). The National Health Policy states that voluntary agencies, faith based organizations, the private-for-profit sector and parastatal organizations will provide health services in the districts through contractual arrangements. The policy further stipulates that the private sector will be encouraged to participate actively in provision of health care services in both rural and urban settings in quality and quantity of care set by the Ministry of Health (MOH).
